ACADEMIC AUDIT COMMITTEE
The committee, a Non-Statutory Body under Autonomy regulations, assists the Principal to assess and audit all academic activities in the college, including the academic achievements of students, the faculty development programmes and research output of teachers, engagement of classes by faculty, proper completion of syllabus in time, timely distribution of answer scripts to students, submission of feedback by students, etc.
The Committee assists the Principal in admission procedures of various programmes of study offered by the institution

The committee is engaged in maintaining and preserving the archives. The collections at the Archives will give an insight into the rich heritage of the College and serve as a source material for researchers. They also document all regular academic and non-academic activities and achievements of the college.

This committee facilitates and monitors all matters regarding attendance of students, namely regular online entry of attendance, publication of monthly and end-semester attendance statement, accepting any grievance regarding attendance entry, recommendation of ‘on duty’ leave for students in necessary cases, etc.

CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
The Committee takes steps to maintain the scenic beauty of the campus and enhance it with novel ideas. Maintenance as well as fresh planting of trees and plants to make the campus ever green would be a priority for this committee.

The College pays special attention to the character formation of students. The Campus Ministry helps the students imbibe moral values and lead a God-centered life. Being a Christian minority institution, the committee also facilitates spiritual services of the college.

CAREER AND PLACEMENT COMMITTEE
The cell undertakes different activities to help students by giving proper career and higher education guidance and training as well as finding proper placements. Organizing campus recruitments for final year students will be a major initiative of the committee.

CLMC for FDP
This is an official committee to monitor the conduct of all UG degree programmes offered by the college. Preparation of degree semester schedules, conduct of open courses, monitoring curricular extension activities, accepting grievance from students, if any, regarding internal marks, etc. will be undertaken by the committee.

Faculty Advisor is the first counsellor for a student. In addition to their services, this committee provides counselling service to students who require the same. The Committee also co-ordinates the functioning of the Counselling Cell of the college by way of individual counselling, group classes and trainings.

CULTURAL PROGRAMMES/STUDENT EXCELLENCE COMMITTEE
Various cultural and student excellence programmes and activities are organised under the auspices of this Committee. To this end, the Committee will also work in collaboration with various government and other reputed agencies.

DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE/ ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE
The discipline in the campus will reflect the rich social and cultural values which the college community cherishes. The Discipline Committee in collaboration with the Student Welfare Committee facilitates the maintenance of discipline in the campus. This committee also monitors all the anti-ragging activities and awareness programmes on the campus.

ELECTORAL LITERARY CLUB
To popularise Electoral processes and democratic tradition of the country and to familiarize the role and functions of Election Commission of India, State Election Commission, Encouraging Political and Electoral participation of the people. Keeping in touch with the booth level officers in updating electoral role. Motivating students to become volunteers to assist Civil Police Authorities on polling days.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES CENTRE
This is a UGC scheme to oversee the effective implementation of policies and programmes for disadvantaged groups, to provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus.

GRIEVANCE CELL FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY (PWD)/ʻDIVYANG’
The cell is constituted as per the policy and directive of the Government to ensure all necessary facilities and services to students with disability.

The Committee publishes the official College Handbook which provides comprehensive information about the various bodies and activities of the college, both curricular and non-curricular and gives the list of faculty members and auxiliary staff.

INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE/ SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMMITTEE
This is a statutory committee which will examine all matters relating to women in the workplace and will make suggestions and proposals to the college administration regarding such matters especially for the prevention of any forms of harassment. The committee will admit complaints from women staff and students on any sexual harassment / discrimination in the college.

INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS COMMITTEE
The committee performs all necessary duties regarding the conduct of internal examinations for UG and PG students, including preparation and publication of exam time table, collection of QPs from Course Coordinators through respective HoDs, making seating arrangement for students, deputing adequate number of invigilators, conducting the examinations, distributing answer scripts to teachers for valuation, etc.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
This is formed as per UGC/NAAC directives and its primary aim is (i) to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution and (ii) to promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The committee supervises and facilitates all library services and takes steps to promote the use of library by faculty and students. Committee also advises on matters regarding qualitative improvement and up-gradation of library in the digital age.

MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Committee serves as the mouthpiece of the College. It has good liaison with media and other agencies and ensures the wholehearted support and goodwill of the society at large. News and reports of the special activities in the college will be communicated to media by the committee with the approval of the Principal.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (N.S.S.) / PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT / BLOOD DONATOR’S FORUM
The University of Kerala has sanctioned a funded N.S.S. unit to the College (K.L. 7-138). Students can enrol as members of the College Unit of this National Organization. It helps to create strong social awareness in students. It imparts personality development to its members through study, work camps, social service activities including blood donation, Palliative care, etc. Active members are awarded grace marks for admission to higher studies.

PEER GROUP / REMEDIAL COACHING
This is a platform for students to fulfil the mission of the College ‘Each one Teach one’, where they share their knowledge with the peer groups. Besides the regular class hours each teacher spends sufficient time with those students who need more care and attention to get highest scores in the exams.

This forum aims at inculcating the students of their responsibility of caring others.

SANTHOM CHARITY FUND COMMITTEE
The committee arranges noon-meal for deserving students. Students in need may also approach the committee for any necessary charitable help for academic purposes.

SC/ST/OEC WELFARE AND GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL
The committee specially caters to the welfare of SC/ST/OEC students of the college and takes steps for the redressal of their grievances, if any.

SCHOLARSHIPS / AWARDS COMMITTEE
This Committee will look into possibilities of various scholarships and makes it available to students.

STUDENT WELFARE/ GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE
The Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of overall welfare of the student community of the College. In collaboration with other related committees, it provides the necessary service to the betterment of students. Any general grievance of students can be lodged with this committee.

TUTOR WARD PROGRAMME
With a firm conviction that mentoring a student will certainly help her/him to achieve greater goals in life the Tutor Ward Programme effectively functions in our College. All students are grouped into small groups and each group is entrusted with a teacher who will guide and help them in all possible ways.

College End-Semester Examinations and all University Examinations are conducted and supervised by this committee. Committee also ensures strict discipline in examination matters.

In order to provide assistance for university related academic matters, a help desk has been constituted with Dr. Jijo Johnson as its Convenor.
WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE
The College website – www.santhomcollege.ac.in – provides all necessary information about the College and its activities. The committee is in charge of updating the website periodically. They are also in charge of the official social networking activities of the college.

WOMEN’S GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL
